The cross-key engages the cruciform recess on the coronal end of the post, allowing the clinician to advance the post into the prepared canal with controlled, measured rotation. Cross-key insertion provides significantly more tactile feedback than press-fit or hammer-driven methods, helping the operator detect resistance changes that indicate the post has reached its planned depth or encountered an obstruction. The driver is constructed from corrosion-resistant surgical-grade stainless steel and is fully autoclavable for reliable sterilization between patients. The ergonomic handle provides a secure grip for precise torque application, while the wrench-style design allows the operator to apply consistent rotational force without slipping.
