After the size 1 starter reamer has established the pilot path, the size 2 reamer is introduced to enlarge the channel in measured increments toward the diameter required for the chosen post. The 28mm short length is purpose-built for posterior teeth, second molars, in particular, and for cases where limited mouth opening or restricted access prevents the comfortable use of the longer 32mm reamer. The square four-edge cross-section provides efficient cutting with predictable tactile feedback, while the inactive guide tip follows the existing canal trajectory established by the previous reamer, minimizing the risk of lateral perforation or strip-out. Each reamer is manufactured in Switzerland from premium tool steel, hardened and tempered to retain sharpness through multiple clinical uses and autoclave cycles. Ring markings on the shank allow instant size identification chairside, and the latch-type shank fits all standard slow-speed contra-angle handpieces.
