Mani Smooth Broaches 52mm 12/Package Stainless Steel

Mani Smooth Broaches 52mm are non barbed root canal instruments used for pathfinding, moisture absorption, and disinfectant delivery during endodontic treatment. Manufactured in Japan by Mani Inc., these broaches are fabricated from Mani's proprietary hard-fiber stainless steel wire with a smooth, circular or polygonal cross section and a smooth tip that allows safe insertion without engaging or cutting canal walls. Unlike barbed broaches, which remove tissue, smooth broaches function as carriers and probes.

Three primary clinical uses define the smooth broach. First, as a canal pathfinder, the smooth tapered profile lets clinicians locate canal orifices and confirm patency before introducing cutting instruments. Second, as a moisture absorber, the broach can be inserted into the canal to draw out residual irrigant or blood prior to obturation. Third, with a small wad of absorbent cotton wound around the working end, the broach delivers intracanal medicament or disinfectant solutions such as calcium hydroxide, sodium hypochlorite, or chlorhexidine to the apical region.

Mani Smooth Broaches are produced at 52mm working length with a handle suitable for instruments requiring extended access. ISO size grading runs from #000 (extra extra extra fine) through #00, #0, #1, #2, and #3, with each size suited to a different canal diameter. The Mani hard-fiber stainless steel formulation delivers superior corrosion resistance, elasticity, and hardness, and the instrument is autoclavable at 121 degrees Celsius for 20 minutes or 126 degrees Celsius for 15 minutes. Packaging is 12 pieces per package, with 6 packages per box.
