Mani Reamers 21mm & 25mm 6/Box Stainless Steel Hand Reamers

Mani Reamers are stainless steel hand reamers used to enlarge the root canal lumen after initial negotiation with K-Files. Manufactured in Japan by Mani Inc., these instruments are crafted from Mani's proprietary 18-8 hard-fiber stainless steel and finished with the same sharp, mirror polished cutting edges and high ductility that define the company's full hand instrument range. Where K-Files use a tighter flute spiral that combines filing and reaming, reamers use a wider flute spiral that produces a primarily reaming cutting action, making them the instrument of choice when efficient canal enlargement is the clinical priority.

The reaming motion follows a 90 degree clockwise insertion, a quarter turn cutting engagement, and a vertical withdrawal. This technique enlarges the canal lumen evenly without the back and forth filing action of a K-File, and the wider flute spiral clears debris more efficiently during withdrawal. Mani Reamers integrate cleanly into any conventional hand file sequence, typically following K-File negotiation and preceding final shaping with Flare Files or NiTi rotary instruments. Intermediate ISO sizes are also available, reducing the stress on each file as it transitions to the next size in the sequence.

Both 21mm and 25mm working lengths are available, with the 21mm body suited to molars and posterior teeth and the 25mm body for anterior, premolar, and longer molar canals. ISO sizes from #06 through #80 are produced, color coded on the silicone handle according to ISO standard for instant chairside identification. The 18-8 hard-fiber stainless steel resists corrosion across repeated sterilization cycles, and the PBT shank withstands repeated autoclave exposure without dimensional change. Each box contains 6 reamers of a single ISO size.
