Mani K-Files 31mm are extra-long endodontic hand files used in cases where the working length exceeds the reach of standard 25mm instruments. The most common indications are maxillary and mandibular canines, anatomically the longest teeth in the mouth, along with unusually long lower premolars and cases with cervical wear or supra-erupted teeth that extend the file's required reach. K-Files form the foundation of hand-instrument endodontics, used for initial canal scouting, glide-path development, patency establishment, and apical preparation. The square cross-section and traditional K-File flute pattern give a combined filing-reaming action that delivers controlled tactile feedback during negotiation of curved and calcified canals. Each file is manufactured in Japan by Mani Inc. from proprietary 18-8 hard-fiber stainless steel, which preserves sharpness and flexibility through repeated sterilization. ISO color-coded handles allow instant size identification under the loupe or operating microscope, and the PBT shank remains dimensionally stable through autoclave cycles. The 31mm length adds approximately 6mm over standard files, providing ample handle clearance even when the rubber stop is positioned at the maximum file length. Available in all standard ISO sizes #06 through #140 and assorted packs. Each box contains 6 sterile, single-size files.
