Mani H-Files 31mm are extra-long Hedstrom-style hand files designed for endodontic cases where the canal length exceeds standard reach, typically maxillary canines, mandibular canines, exceptionally long lower premolars, and any tooth where a 25mm file cannot reach working length. Manufactured by Mani Inc. in Japan, these files are crafted from the company's proprietary 18-8 stainless steel, ground to mirror-finished cutting edges with deep, angled spiral flutes that aggressively shave the canal wall on each withdrawal stroke. The H-File geometry is purpose-built for two clinical scenarios: refining and straightening the canal after K-File negotiation, and removing existing gutta percha or carrier-based fillings during retreatment cases. Their cutting efficiency is significantly higher than that of K-Files, allowing clinicians to achieve target apical and coronal preparations more quickly. ISO color-coded silicone handles permit instant size verification, even under the operating microscope, while the PBT shank withstands multiple autoclave cycles without dimensional change. As with all Hedstrom files, the 31mm H-File must only be used with vertical filing motion. Rotation should be avoided to prevent flute lock-up and instrument fracture. Available in all standard ISO sizes from #15 through #80 and assorted packs. Each pack contains 6 single-size files. Reach for these when standard 25mm files come up short.
