Mani Flexile Files 21mm & 25mm 6/Box Stainless Steel

Mani Flexile Files are stainless steel hand files engineered specifically for shaping curved canals where stiffness becomes a liability. Manufactured in Japan by Mani Inc., Flexile Files share the same ISO 0.02 taper as standard K-Files but use a triangular cross section across all available sizes (#15 through #40) instead of K-File square geometry. This single design change makes Flexile Files approximately two times more flexible than equivalently sized K-Files, a difference that is decisive when the apical third of a molar canal curves abruptly.

The triangular cross section reduces the file's resistance to bending while improving cutting efficiency on the upstroke. Clinically Flexile Files are not designed for vertical pressure or aggressive negotiation. They are designed for shaping. The standard technique uses a quarter turn and pull motion at the working length, enlarging the canal sequentially from #15 through to the chosen final size while preserving original canal anatomy. Below size #15 the triangular geometry is too flexible to be useful, which is why the size range starts at #15.

Flexile Files are typically used as the bridge between initial canal negotiation (with K-Files or D Finders) and final tapered shaping (with Flare Files or NiTi rotary). In curved molar anatomy where K-Files above size #20 risk transporting the canal, Flexile Files enable continued hand enlargement to size #30 or #40 without the same iatrogenic risk. Crafted from Mani's proprietary 18-8 hard-fiber stainless steel, each box contains 6 files of a single ISO size, color coded on the silicone handle with a PBT shank rated for repeated autoclave sterilization.
