Mani D Finders 21mm & 25mm 6/Box Stainless Steel

Mani D Finder files are stiff stainless steel hand instruments engineered for negotiating calcified, curved, and constricted root canals. Manufactured in Japan by Mani Inc., D Finders use the company's proprietary 18-8 hard-fiber stainless steel combined with a distinctive D-shaped cross section that gives the cutting blade approximately 50 percent greater rigidity than a conventional Mani K-File. This stiffness is the entire clinical point of the instrument: it lets the file generate enough penetration force to scout and open a glide path through canals that calcification or sclerosis has rendered nearly impassable.

Both 21mm and 25mm lengths are available, with the 21mm body suited to molars and posterior teeth where vertical access is limited and the 25mm body covering anterior, premolar, and longer molar canals. Each box contains 6 files of a single ISO size in the 08, 10, 12, or 15 range, the sizes most relevant to initial canal negotiation and glide path establishment. The 0.02 ISO standard taper ensures a smooth transition to any subsequent K-File, Flexile, RT, or NiTi rotary system the clinician chooses to continue with.

Clinically, D Finders are used with a quarter to one third turn reaming motion in an irrigant filled canal, with 16mm of cutting flutes and a non aggressive safety tip designed to follow the canal anatomy rather than transport it. Independent clinical literature reports D Finders deliver up to 1.5 times the fracture toughness of comparable penetration files from other manufacturers, a meaningful margin of safety when working through hard, narrow apical anatomy. The PBT shank withstands repeated autoclave sterilization without dimensional change, and ISO color coding on the silicone handle gives instant chairside size identification.
