The kit includes a mouth mirror with a removable head for visualization and indirect access to lingual and palatal surfaces; a double-ended explorer for caries detection, restoration margin assessment, and tactile surface examination; a periodontal probe for pocket depth measurement and gingival assessment; and cotton pliers for atraumatic placement and removal of cotton rolls, gauze, and small materials in the operatory field. Each instrument is manufactured from medical-grade stainless steel — hardened, tempered, and polished to deliver years of reliable clinical service through unlimited autoclave sterilization cycles. The handles are balanced for precise tactile control and feature secure knurled grips that prevent slipping even when wet from saliva or irrigation. The mouth mirror features a rhodium-coated reflective surface for distortion-free indirect vision and accepts standard universal-thread replacement heads as the reflective surface wears over time. The explorer is the classic #5 or #23 design with sharp tactile tip and complementary contralateral angulation. The probe and pliers complete the standard exam workflow.
