Unlike rigid metal posts that concentrate functional stress at the post-tip and increase the risk of catastrophic vertical root fracture, Carbonite posts are manufactured from epoxy-resin-impregnated unidirectional carbon fibers that produce a modulus of elasticity closely matched to dentine. This biomechanical compatibility allows the post-restored tooth to flex as a single unit under occlusal load, distributing stress evenly along the bonded interface and dramatically reducing root fracture risk over the long term. The carbon fiber composition is fully radiopaque on standard periapical radiographs and allowing post position and depth to be verified post-cementation without ambiguity. The post surface accepts standard dental adhesive systems for predictable resin-cement bonding, and the rigidity along the long axis is sufficient to support both direct composite and indirect ceramic core build-ups. The kit contains 18 posts, total six each of sizes 2, 3, and 4 covering the three most commonly used diameters in everyday post-and-core practice. Three matched-diameter reamers are included, eliminating the need to source canal preparation instruments separately.
