Glassix Glass Fiber Posts in size 1 are translucent, glass-fiber-reinforced epoxy posts engineered for esthetic post-and-core restorations on anterior teeth where the metallic gray shadow of conventional metal posts would compromise the final shade of all-ceramic crowns or direct composite restorations. The unidirectional glass fiber composition delivers a modulus of elasticity closely matched to dentine, allowing the post-restored tooth to flex as a single biomechanical unit under occlusal load — a stress-distribution pattern that has been shown in clinical literature to significantly reduce the risk of catastrophic vertical root fracture compared with rigid metal post systems. The translucent body permits light transmission for proper dual-cure or light-cure resin cement polymerization throughout the entire post length, eliminating the dark apical zones associated with opaque post systems. The post surface is pre-treated to accept dental adhesive primers and bonds reliably with all major dual-cure resin cements. Size 1 represents the smallest Glassix diameter, suitable for narrow anterior canals, particularly in maxillary lateral incisors and lower incisors — where conservation of radicular dentine is paramount. This refill pack replenishes existing Glassix kit inventory. A matched-diameter Glassix reamer is required for canal preparation.
